The NOKTON 75mm F1.5 Aspherical is a large aperture manual focus medium telephoto lens exclusively for Canon RF mount. Covering a full-frame image circle, the lens is optimized for the image sensor of Canon R system.
The lens captures the image directly by excellent optics without digital alteration. The lens is equipped with electronic contacts and has data communications with the Canon body*1. In addition to Exif information and in-body image stabilization (3-axis) *2, three types of focus support functions (magnification, peaking, and focus guide *3) are supported.
The lens construction consists of 7 elements in 6 groups, providing both compactness and high performance despite the large aperture of F1.5. The aspherical lens provides excellent descriptive performance from the maximum aperture throughout the entire scale. At the minimum focusing distance of 0.5m, the maximum aperture range of this lens at F1.5 is approximately ±2mm, which is very shallow, allowing you to enjoy a smooth bokeh effect. On the other hand, using a minimum aperture of f/32 at a minimum focus distance of 0.5m, the focal range is approximately ±4cm, allowing for deep focus.
A metal aperture ring has a click-switching mechanism that allows the aperture to be used without click-stops when shooting video. The aperture is nearly circular with 12 elements and the synergistic effect of the large F1.5 aperture and slightly longer focal length makes the lens ideal for “large background blurring" and also renders out-of-focus areas of point light sources in a well-defined manner. A thread-mounted metal hood is included
