The EDX has a 12x50 open bridge. The binocularas can be held without shaking - thanks to its low weight - with one hand, or even in winter, when wearing gloves. The binoulars weighs just 902g and has a compact design, just 175mm long - using robust materials such as magnesium, aluminum and polycarbonate. The anti-slip reinforcement is made of natural rubber and therefore not only guarantees durability, but also provides significantly greater adhesion. Impact-resistant eyecups protect the eyepieces.
The EDX 12x50 is completely waterproof and fog-free. The entire focus range can be precisely adjusted in just 1.5 turns, ensuring quick readjustment when hunting or landscape observation.
Diopter compensation can be adjusted on the right eyepiece. Glasses wearers can easily fix the lenses in four positions, so they can achieve the perfect viewing distance and avoid narrowing the field of vision. Despite the high magnification the EDX 12x50 binoculars are capable of razor-sharp observation, thanks to the high light transmission, non-slip construction and low weight.
The EDX 12x50 is designed for long range use, such as in the mountains or wide open terrain. The target group is primarily hunters, ornithologists and mountain hikers. With these premium binoculars, mountain hunters can spot chamois at a distance of 200-300 m without the need for a large and heavy spotting scope. Ornithologists and mountain hikers will benefit from the 12x magnification and 2.6m close range. Equipped with the EDX 12x50, it is possible to observe both near and very distant objects with color reproduction, sharpness and accuracy that can hardly be surpassed.

While the EDX 12x50 is based on the proven roof prism system (Schmidt Pechan), the types of glass used in these binoculars have been completely redesigned. This innovative ED glass (Extra Low Dispersion) reduces color fringes even more than most ED binoculars to date. User benefits include perfectly coordinated and brilliant colors. The newly developed PHC140 phase correction coating for the EDX 12x50 blocks 99 percent of all unwanted wave-optical effects, thus preventing even the slightest blurring. The so-called apochromatic correction (APO) reliably prevents colored fringing in the EDX 12x50.
The EDX 12x50 binoculars provides the optical image in the maximum resolution that can be reproduced according to the current state of the art. This is guaranteed by the special DDlucid coating, with which the Schmidt-Pechan roof prism is supplemented with two roof surfaces. This coating from the Japanese photo industry is a further development of the well-known and proven ELR coating (Extra Low Reflection). DDlucid is one of the most effective binocular coatings. Currently, only premium binoculars have a similarly sophisticated coating.
