This is guaranteed by the special DDlucid coating, with which the Schmidt-Pechan roof prism is supplemented with two roof surfaces. This coating from the Japanese photo industry is a further development of the well-known and proven ELR coating (Extra Low Reflection). DDlucid is one of the most effective binocular coatings. Currently, only premium binoculars have a similarly sophisticated coating.
When developing the binoculars, DDoptics attached great importance to the particularly large field of view in addition to high-quality construction and coating. The result is a field of view of 126 m for the "Kolibri 8x42 Gen3", which meets even the highest expectations. This is a record for 8x42 binoculars.
