The DDoptics universal hiking and scouting binoculars have been available since April 2016 in the highest brightness 50 mm version. Binoculars in this design are generally less common, as most manufacturers focus on sizes with a 42 mm objective diameter or offer 8x56 binoculars. A great 8x50 binocular can combine many positive features. For example, these binoculars are particularly useful for bird watching in low light conditions and for night and twilight hunting. The Ultralight 8x50 is surprisingly bright and can be used almost until the last rays of the sun, and with a weight of 799 g it is considered a really light. The field of view of more than 102 meters with the DDoptics Ultralight 8x50 binoculars clearly surpasses most 8x50 binoculars on the market.
Universal hiking and scouting binoculars should be light, small, practical and strong. Of course, lightweight binoculars must also be waterproof and robust. The open bridge coating provides excellent grip and comfort. The prisms and lenses of the Ultralight binoculars with an objective diameter of 50 mm are even provided with a dielectric coating. This provides a clear and true-to-color image, and when you don't need the binoculars, you can simply put them in your jacket pocket.
Whether in the mountains or by the North Sea, whether at -15 degrees or 45 degrees in the desert. The waterproof and nitrogen-filled Ultralight simply excludes all extreme factors, and always looks good.
With the Ultralight 8x50 binoculars, we offer optics that can really do everything you would expect from a model of this size. An open bridge is also hardly or not at all found in binoculars in this price category. The field of view of more than 102 m and the convincing resolution cannot be reached by its competitors, even with binoculars that are twice as expensive. In summary: the Ultralight 8x50 binoculars are one of the most modern binoculars with excellent optics.
The tube is made of ultra-hard and unbreakable polycarbonate.
The focus dial moves freely and without backlash. It's not too heavy and not too loose, and can be easily and precisely brought into "focus" during fine adjustments. The diopter adjustment dial on the right eyepiece can be precisely adjusted. The eyecups offer four adjustment options, so both those who wear glasses and those who don't can set the best possible and most comfortable viewing distance.
